A three month subscription to the East Hardwick Neighborhood Pod on East Church Street. This subscription will renew every three month.
After purchase, you will receive an email with the exact address of your POD and more specific details.
How it works
Host Site:
One household signs up to be the food scrap tote ‘host’. This household provide a roughly 6'x4' space that would house one food scrap tote and one sawdust tote (think 48-gallon curbside trash container).
The host receives free service and some other fun benefits for their willingness to host the containers.
Neighborhood Sign-Ups
Households in the area can sign up to join a nearby ‘compost pod’ where they can easily drop their food scraps in a BDF tote. Pod members pay a small fee to access to the container.
As a ‘Pod Member’ you join a fun community of home composters!
Weekly Pick Up
Participants can empty their waste into their neighborhood tote at their convenience.
The tote will be emptied and washed weekly.
A tote of sawdust will be provided. Each time food scraps are deposited, add a layer of sawdust to reduce odors and flies.
